playing catch-up

It's been awhile since I've posted, so I thought I'd just share some recent pics.

A couple weeks ago, Tony and I headed down to Dana Point for lunch and ice cream. Here are a few favorite snapshots:

Cute kid update: my niece, Laura, just lost BOTH of her front teeth. I found this too adorable:

 

And my other niece, Grace, is just starting to take clarinet lessons. At the time of these photos, she hadn't had a lesson yet, but had just learned to put the instrument together, which is a process in itself. She was so excited to show us just how it worked:

 

I LOVE this look of concentration. But this expression is so intense, and she doesn't look like a little girl here... I have to remember that she is only 8. But here, I see what she will be like at 13, 18, 21...
